The City of Dallas presents the very first Super Cert Friday in the DFW Metroplex. If you are a business owner who qualifies as a woman or minority owned business but just have't gotten around to it you don't want to miss this event. It will take place on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, 7th Floor.
This all day event will bring huge benefits for small business owners like yourself because you will be able to complete your certification papers before the day is over. We will even have our own Notaries there so you don't have to go out to have your documents notarized elsewhere.
The key is to bring all of the required documents with you. You can find the list on any of the certification agency sites. You are going to need things like bank signature cards, tax returns, birth certificate, picture ID, and proof of ethnicity; so confirm before you come. Check their sites to be sure you have what you need that day. NCTRCA, DFWMC, and/or WBENC.
Our President, Linda Ghaffari of Affinity Strategic Partners and TryDallas will speak during session 3 and cover what your options are after you get your certifications and how to position yourself to win government bids. There are great opportunities in the private sector as well which she help you navigate. Dallas County Purchasing Director, Daniel Garza will be joining her and share his views from public entity perspective.
