The Woman's Business Council SW Rewards Excellence in WBE Work

February 3, 2017

February 2, 2017 was the "Parade of Stars" event presented by the Women's Business Council SW (WBCSW); an event recognizing the best of the best in WBE participation, procurement, involvement, and growth.

It was an evening of the best of the best in women entrepreneurs and the people who support us throughout the year, our corporate sponsors, buyers, and teams.

The WBCSW is an amazing organization in North Texas that promotes the advancement of Women in business along with facilitating the WBE certification process in the Southwest Region. The event was a testament as to how being certified and active helps women entrepreneurs grow their business.

We heard stories of companies growing 300%, 400%, 750% and more since joining the organization and doing business with one another.  It brought home the fact that as women business owners we need to not only help each other, but give one another business in support of the certification process.  Examples of the winners demonstrated how each of not only do a lot of business with many of the corporate sponsors in the room, but how they themselves hire many of the women in that same room as part of their own procurement strategy.

Special thanks to both Brian Schrader with Texas Instruments and the Toyota team, two companies making a difference with WBEs in North Texas.

I am proud not only to be a part of the organization, but to be surrounded by such great women that are not only business partners, but friends....

 Congratulations to all the winners!
